Industrial Equipment Design Firm Unveils Sanitary Clamp

Novel Design Meets USDA, 3-A Standards for Food, Dairy Mounts and Retracts for Instant Access, Inspection and Cleaning

Washington, NJ: Industrial equipment design and manufacturing firm the Witte Company, Washington, New Jersey (www.witte.com), has unveiled a sanitary clamp that permanently mounts on food and dairy processing, packaging and material handling equipment to deliver up to 750 pounds of clamping force yet retracts for instant access to the entire machine or system for easy inspection and cleaning. Designed to meet USDA regulations and 3-A standards for the food and dairy industries, the sanitary clamp is ideal for installation on dryers, conveyors, screeners, mixers, ovens, tanks, vessels and on other machines and equipment where cleanliness and sanitary considerations are paramount and where HACCP Quality Assurance Programs are followed.

Available entirely of FDA-approved 303 stainless steel or with an aluminum frame, the corrosion-resistant clamp thrives in Clean In Place (CIP), Steam In Place (SIP) and manual washdown conditions. Featuring a novel yoke and roll pin mounting assembly, the Witte sanitary clamp may be opened with one hand and no tools without requiring detachment. The clamp invites instant access during operation or for the sanitation shift for inspection and/or cleaning.

The Witte sanitary clamp grips stainless steel, plastic and other materials and may be retrofit on existing machinery and equipment to improve access and cleanability.
