A vibrating fluid bed dryer uses vibration to aid in both the fluidization and transportation of a product in a fluid bed processor. For many products, uniform processing time is an important parameter. Gentle vibration helps move product from the inlet to the discharge in a uniform, consistent fashion, similar to plug flow. Vibration also helps in achieving ideal fluidization, free of hot spots and rat holes.
