Fluid Bed Dryer Design Allows Complete Cleaning to Prevent Cross-Contamination, Minimize Risk of Allergen Transfer and Speed Changeover
Witte Co. Designs Feature Easy Access To Entire System For Superior Cleanability
Washington, NJ: Vibrating fluid bed dryers and coolers from process equipment manufacturer The Witte Co., Washington, New Jersey (www.witte.com), are designed to permit free, unimpeded access to the entire drying system to allow the thorough interior cleaning required to effectively prevent cross-contamination, minimize the risk of allergen transfer and speed product changeover. A single operator opens the company’s signature, one-handed C-clamps to release the exhaust cover from the conveying surface then pushes a button to engage the automatic, motorized hoist (optional). This safely raises the cover, exposes the dryer deck and holds it securely in place while inspection, cleaning and maintenance are performed.
Ideal for the sanitary production of foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and other products, the vibratory fluid bed dryers and coolers meet clean-in-place (CIP) requirements, withstand frequent washdowns and are available in 100% stainless steel. A variety of non-stick coatings, polishes and accessories are available to meet FDA requirements and/or suit specific product characteristics.
